It’s been revealed that GACKT has organized an emergency charity, “SHOW YOUR HEART“, to raise disaster relief funds for the 2011 Japanese earthquake.

As the representative for “SHOW YOUR HEART”, GACKT stated, “We decided to organize the charity as it was something that even we could start [in order to help]. We want everyone to lend us their strength. Although individuals may not be able to do much, if everyone works together, it becomes a lot of power. In this sort of time, we need to have the courage to lend a helping hand.”

On the “SHOW YOUR HEART” official webpage, many celebrities, including Shinya (from LUNA SEA), Fujiwara Norika, DAIGO (from BREAKERZ), and Haruna Ai, have left supportive messages.

Donations can be made through a direct deposit in Japan to the “SHOW YOUR HEART” bank account. The funds collected will be distributed to victims through the Japanese Red Cross and local community associations.

Following these posts, GACKT used English once more, tweeting “Soooooo, sorry for my poor Mandarin,,,It is very hard to write in Chinese…”

Happily, his Chinese fans have responded to his tweets with much support.

This is the second time GACKT has mentioned a large-scale project for disaster relief (the first time was in his English tweets on the 22nd), though the singer is mysteriously withholding details for now.

We’ll definitely keep you posted after he releases more information, so stay tuned!

When Japan was rocked by the earthquake on March 11th, popular singer GACKT opened an official Twitter account, began several charity projects, and announced that he would open up a rarisim photo campaign. GACKT asked his international fans to submit a picture of themselves holding a sign with “SHOW YOUR HEART” written on it, along with their message to the people of Tohoku.

Now that a few weeks have passed, GACKT has updated his website with a gallery of people from around the world holding their “SHOW YOUR HEART SIGNS”. The gallery will be updated again in May with more submissions.

Check out the photo gallery here, and submit your own photo to photo@showyourheart.net with the name of your city and country if you’d still like to participate.

Rock singer GACKT will release a new single titled “Graffiti”, which will become the opening theme song for the anime SKET DANCE.

“Graffiti”, which will be released on November 30th, is said to be a fast-paced rock tune.
The SKET DANCE anime follows Kaimei High School’s campus club, SKET Dan. SKET Dan sets out to resolve student and faculty problems, but they usually ends up in a mess of their own.
GACKT appears in the anime as the voice of the character Dante, who is the vocalist of a fictional visual kei band named JardiN. “Graffiti” will be GACKT’s first character song.

Cu cat aflu mai numeroase despre el, cu atat incepe sa mi se para mai ciudat.
Nu stiu daca tine sa caute atentie, dar nu era de ajuns ca au aparut perne imprimate cu el si tot felul de prostii.
Mai nou a aparut si un joc otome. :-/
